Vulindlela Bulk Water Supply Scheme Upgrade Phase 1
- Construction of a new 20 Mℓ Reservoir and all ancillary works;
- New 2.4 km of DN600 epoxy-lined pipeline from Reservoir 4 to Reservoir 5 to replace the existing DN300 rising main;
- Conversion of the existing DN300 rising main to gravity main from Reservoir 5 to Reservoir 4;
- New DN200 steel gravity bulk pipeline with Klambon jointing from Reservoir 4 to Reservoir 3, tying into the existing branch pipelines supplying Reservoirs 4 and 3, respectively.
- New Pump Station at Reservoir 2 with initially one duty and one standby pump and a spare bay for the installation of a third pump when the capacity of the existing DN450 and DN400 pipeline between Reservoirs 2 and 4 must be augmented to achieve the ultimate demand of 18.0 Mℓ/day in 2045;
- Installation of an adequate new power supply to the new Reservoir 2 pump station;
