KEY FEATURES

• Bailey ratios – Provides insight into aggregate packing and interlock, enabling the identification of gradations that will achieve adequate stability, workability, and long-term performance beyond simple compliance with grading envelopes.
• Rheological modelling of binders – Characterisation of the temperature and loading rate dependent behaviour of the binder, enabling prediction of pavement performance in terms of rutting, fatigue cracking, and durability.
• Assessment of the volumetric and performance – Ensures that the selected mix achieves adequate durability, stability, and resistance to distress under anticipated traffic loading and environmental conditions.
• Review of stabilisation designs – Important to confirm that the selected stabilising agents, dosages, and design assumptions are appropriate for the material characteristics, construction conditions, and long-term performance requirements of the pavement.”
