PAVEMENT ENGINEERING & CONSTRUCTION
Pavement Engineering
Our Pavement Engineering Division is dedicated to delivering innovative and sustainable road infrastructure solutions, underpinned by the Climate Change Act (Act 22 of 2024) and aligned with the principles of the Just Transition. The division comprises a balanced team of industry-renowned specialists, as well as professionally registered and candidate engineers and technologists, ensuring a wealth of expertise combined with fresh innovation and technical excellence.
We specialize in pavement design, utilizing advanced software such as Rubicon, CNCPave, and mePADS to develop optimized solutions tailored to the unique requirements of each project. Our expertise extends to incremental design of asphalt layers, allowing for improved pavement performance and longevity. Every design is driven by a commitment to sustainability, incorporating the latest engineering methodologies to minimize environmental impact while enhancing structural resilience.
Beyond design, we provide quality assurance during construction, ensuring the highest standards of material compliance is achieved through various approaches including, but not limited to the rheological modeling of binders. Our team is also skilled in forensic investigations of premature pavement failures, applying advanced analysis techniques to identify root causes and recommend effective remediation strategies.
With a deep understanding of both traditional and emerging pavement technologies, we are committed to engineering solutions that support long-term infrastructure sustainability. Through innovation, technical expertise, and a focus on sustainable design, we deliver road infrastructure that meets the demands of today while ensuring resilience for the future.
