Human Rights Day

Human Rights Day is a reminder of the suffering occurred during the 1960 Sharpeville Massacre when, South Africans gathered around to protest against the pass laws that restricted and controlled travel, dictating when, where, and for how long black South Africans could stay within white areas.

This day is also a celebration, as it is marked by an affirmation of ordinary people, rising together to proclaim their rights. It is because of this that South Africa has included human rights in our own Bill of Rights, Chapter 2 of the Constitution of the Republic of South Africa

Human Rights Day impresses on each and every individual to stand up for their rights and those of others civil, economic, political and cultural rights. This day we should commemorate the hard-fought collective freedoms and not stay complacent and ignore socioeconomic rights, particularly those harmed by widespread violent crime, poverty and poor services.

As such, Naidu Consulting has always had the community at the forefront when taking on a new project. Some examples are our Bridges. The eZimbokodweni Pipe and Pedestrian Bridge delivers on improved sanitation facilities and safe and secure crossing for the eZimbokodweni Community. Likewise, the Mabhobhane River Bridger over the Tugela River allowed for job creation for the local community.

Our bespoke academy with mentors that share their knowledge and wealth of experience to aspiring undergraduates and our investment in our people in terms of nurturing, developing and empowering them to always grow.

We would like to ask each and every one of our employees to take a moment and celebrate who we have become, and welcome ways to unite.  Our company has and always will be a diverse and multi-cultural group of warm and happy individuals.  A great testament to what our society should be.
